Melina Glavas Chandy, Senior Event Sales Manager

Born and raised in Laguna Beach, Melina Glavas Chandy has worked in luxury travel and events for over 20 years. After spending a year overseas in Paris as an art and language student and graduating with a BA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, Melina moved to Aspen, Colorado to begin her career in hospitality. Melina's career has included time at the Ritz-Carlton and Kimpton Hotels. She has spent the past 17 years at the world renowned Five-Star, Five-Diamond resort, The Little Nell. Named by The Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association as the 2011 Employee of the Year for her work as the Director of Events for The Little Nell, Melina has worked with high profile clients such as the The White House, Hollywood celebrities and multi-billion dollar global institutions. Melina is currently working for The Little Nell remotely from Southern California as the Account Director for the Events Department. Her love for hospitality, special events, and people is what has continued to motivate her over the years. She has been published as an expert in her field by Martha Stewart Weddings, The Huffington Post, Brides, and Condé Nast Traveler. Melina is also a level 1 Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Melina volunteers her time with the Nancy Davis Foundation, The SMU Southern California Alumni Chapter, and is a mentor to high school students at Laguna Beach High School. Melina has also been an advocate of the arts, supporting the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, JAS Aspen Snowmass, and as a Board Member of Les Dames d'Aspen. Melina loves entertaining at home with her husband, son and family. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, yoga and travel!
